Adagio, Second movement from Concerto No. 9 in A minor, Op. 104, by C.-A.de Beriot, ABRSM Violin

I played C.-A. de Beriot’s Adigio from concerto 9 for my Grade 8 violin examination. Featuring a rich, lyrical melody, it offers both emotional depth and technical challenges. The harmony complements the melody with lush chords and delicate contrasts. The use of appoggiaturas and ornamentation is significant, adding to the expressive quality of the piece.
