I was extremely honoured to be part of YWCA HeARTbeats exhibition. I made two paintings, Business rabbit and Santa fox. For Business rabbit, I chose vibrant colours to bring joy to the people who looked at this artwork. I painted a suit to make the bunny look serious yet cheerful at the same time. Business rabbit goes to his engineering job everyday and has a red fabric tie that matches his dark grey suit. Santa fox is a close relative of the business rabbit, with similar clothes and style. He is a playful and bubbly fox with vibrant colours and comes out of his den every year to give out presents to the human population. I took inspiration from Van Gogh’s works, light brustrokes acting as colour to the painting.
