Fundraiser (Art and Music), YWCA HeART Beats, 2023
I participated in the YWCA HeART Beats Music and Charity Festival which was held on Saturday, 18 November 2023.
YWCA HeART Beats aims to bring together individuals and organizations, for a good cause. It serves as a platform to generate awareness of social issues, foster community engagement, and raise vital funds for YWCA's community service programmes.
I created 2 artpieces for the Charity art gallery - 100% of proceeds to go to YWCA.
Business Rabbit
(Medium: Acrylic)
I chose vibrant colours to bring joy to the people who looked at this artwork. I painted a suit to make the bunny look serious yet cheerful at the same time. Business rabbit goes to his engineering job everyday and has a red fabric tie that matches his dark grey suit.
Santa Fox
(Medium: Acrylic)
Santa fox is a close relative of the business rabbit, with similar colours and style. He is a playful and bubbly fox with vibrant colours and comes out from his fox den every year to give out presents to the human race.. His favourite clothes are a khaki sweater and a santa hat.
I also performed 2 pieces on the violin for this festival:-
(1) Vivaldi’s Four Seasons - Autumn, 1st Movement: Allegro (Solo Performance)
(2) Bach - Concerto for two violins in D minor BWV 1043, 1st Movement: Vivace (Duet)
On stage, performing “Autumn” by Vivaldi
The funds raised for this festival supported more than 2,000 needy families, and empowerment programmes for women and children.
I managed to raise $1,337! You can take a look at my campaign page here.
