I am a 12-year-old with a deep passion for music, innovation, and technology. I began playing the violin at seven and am currently working towards my diploma. I am a violinist with the Singapore National Youth Sinfonia and will be participating in the National Piano and Violin Competition 2025.

I have had the privilege of performing live at Carnegie Hall, New York City, and have received multiple awards for violin and vocal performances in competitions such as SRIMF, the Singapore International Music Competition, London Young Musician, American Protegé and the Vienna Virtuoso Competition, among others. I was also part of ChildAid 2022, where I had the opportunity to perform for a meaningful cause.

Apart from performing music, I also enjoy penning my reflections on musical concerts in my personal journal.

Beyond music, I enjoy writing and science. I was awarded Gold in the Queen’s Commonwealth Essay Competition 2024, and Silver in the Singapore Primary Science Olympiad 2024, achievements that reflect my curiosity about the world and love for expression and learning.

I am also passionate about design and tech. In 2024, my group’s invention “Cost-Effective Smart Household Water Usage Tracker using IoT” was selected from over 80 global submissions to be presented at Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT). We were honoured to achieve a double win, receiving First Prize in both the Hackathon and the Poster Presentation at the Summit. I was ecstatic to have the opportunity to meet and interview Dr Natalie Lao, CEO of the App Inventor Foundation at MIT.

Separately, with another team, I developed “The Extendable Hawker Chair”, which was awarded a Distinction in the MOE Innovation Programme (IvP) and was further nominated to participate in the Tan Kah Kee Young Inventor’s Award (TKKYIA). My painting, depicting a Singapore Kampung was also awarded 2nd place at the National Junior Watercolour Competition in 2024.

In my free time, I enjoy volunteering at my nearby community centre to play games with the elderly. I have also raised funds for social enterprises through my music performances and auctioned artwork, with 100% of the proceeds going to the beneficiaries.
